#TNC2013: Eastern Competition Updates

Happy Sunday everybody! There are now five days left until East’s True North Conference! (And there are 33 more days until West’s True North Conference!)

You’re going to want to pay close attention to this post if you’re competing in any events!

If you’re competing in Creative Competitions

  • Tomorrow, Monday, July 15, is the last day to hand in secondary requirements. They must be sent to jesus.expocomps[at]gmail.comAnything handed in after this date will lead to deduction or disqualification. 
  • Secondary requirements for the different competitions are as follows:
    • Dance: A mix of your set in .mp3 format.
    • Band: A powerpoint file of your lyrics on a plain white background.
    • Original song: A recording of your song in .mp3 format and a powerpoint file of your lyrics on a plain white background.
    • Poetry slam: A recording of your poem in .mp3 format and a powerpoint file of the poem on a plain white background.
    • Most Valuable Photo: Your photograph entry in .pdf format.
  • There will be no essays for creative competitions. Instead, there will be a verbal explanation on the day of Conference (Friday, July 19). (Please refer to page 34 of creative competition guidelines.)
  • All creative competition team captains must sign in with the competitions table after checking in with registration upon arrival.

If you’re competing in Fun Competitions…

  • Prepare accordingly and get ready to have loads of fun!
  • All fun competition team captains must sign in with the competitions table after checking in with registration upon arrival.

If you’re competing in Sports Competitions…

  • There will be no outdoor shoes allowed in the gym. Please have another set of shoes for indoor play!
  • All sports competition team captains must sign in with the competitions table after checking in with registration upon arrival.
