Okay, let’s get this started.
9:25 AM, I wake up for another usual Saturday for a General Assembly to welcome graduating Kids from CFC-Kids For Christ to CFC-Youth.
I remember coming in the venue after having to run to and from Subway and saying, “What the…”. I said, “What the,” because I was so overwhelmed with the amount of people that were there. “What the” because I didn’t even know who they were. “What the” because “these aren’t kids. They be guests”. What a giddy feeling it was to see how much visitors we had. He was truly present.
We went right into a game of Minute-to-Win-It after starting the event with a simple prayer. It was the rowdiest part of the event. Everywhere I looked, everyone’s face was red from laughing so much at how silly everyone played the game. Who knew that these visitors could be this comfortable with us? He was truly present.
From the song teaching to the talk about what the community is about, there came the Crossover, the main part of the event. It was truly an affirmation for me on why I chose and still choose to stay in this community. It is to share His passion, the truth.
To end the day, we had worship. The rowdiest part of the event, spiritually. How lovely is this community, His dwelling place.
Dundeez!! Peace be with you.
