The command for greatness is for the masses; only a fraction rally to it.

How many times have I experienced the call for more only to embrace less than which He has called me to? Yet how pleasant it is to earnestly desire and painstakingly pace towards sainthood in all its virtue!

Recently, alongside like-minded brothers, I was able to view The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. For those needing a refresher, it is the journey of a select few in their attempt to abolish evil. It is an epic tale of folksmen discovering the inner heroism produced by bold fellowship, incredible hope, and unassuming lightheartedness. It is action deepened by storytelling and mystified by metaphor. Although so much may be learned, my takeaway was this: Where darkness pervades, a light shines all the more.

Now, amidst the recent revelations within our world, there must be a banner to charge behind.

It’s time for an adventure! Tomorrow’s hope is to be more than what we are today. We must dream big. To purely desire is to trust that our souls are only satisfied by God alone.

The Book of Isaiah proclaims,

“A voice cries out: ‘In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord…’”

– Isaiah 40:3

Our movement is to be an echo of the life that Jesus Christ lived. It is our turn to prepare the way for many. In the coming weeks, you will read the reflections of brothers within the Pacific Area Core. We come to you imperfect – but ready and willing. We commit to being a voice in the wild for the wild. We are the servants of servants. May we be impassioned!

Our sword, our bow, and our axe – they are yours.
